Barbie enjoys a pleasant autumn afternoon with a garden tea party! Put on your fancy hat and join Barbie because here you will find delicious cake, exquisite macarons, sparkling juice, and of course the perfect cup of tea!
A tea party will always be the perfect elegant occasion to enjoy a delicious refreshment while spending a pleasant time with friends. I love every detail that makes up this social event celebrated for centuries, especially when it takes place in a garden! The flowered or lace tablecloth, the fine utensils, the floral centerpiece, the tray for tasty delicacies, and of course, my favorite, the delicate porcelain tea set with its teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, saucers, and those little teacups! Our memory goes back to our childhood when we played pretending to be from high society with our friends, dad or mom, and even with stuffed animals!
Barbie took advantage of this beautiful October afternoon to wear her best dress suitable for such an occasion. Pastel colors and floral prints are always the perfect selection for a tea party, and if you want to add a sophisticated touch, don’t forget your hat and stole! Barbie knows that very well! She knows how to combine different fabric textures such as lace, soft silk, chiffon and “fur” with ruffles, embroidery and fancy jewelry for a sophisticated look without being too much.
I consider that the dolls I use for this Barbie tea party diorama are the perfect choice for it. I used Garden Party Barbie as the tea party hostess and included as guest Pretty Changes Barbie, Pink & Pretty Barbie, and Peaches ‘n Cream Barbie wearing Springtime Magic Barbie Fashion #7092. The mini porcelain tea set is from the 25th Anniversary Barbie China Service by Chilton-Globe and JESCO, and the dining table play set is from My Fancy Life.
