Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse Barbie 1992

Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse Barbie doll is a tribute to 90’s summer fashion! With a bold outfit in bright neon colors and pieces that you can mix and match for different beach looks, this 1992 collector’s edition shows us the essence of that cool girl who was the sensation at the 90’s beach parties.

There were a number of corporate synergies in the 1990s. One such merger was between the Kool-Aid Company and Mattel, Inc. Mattel Toys manufactured three limited editions of Barbie dolls featuring the Kool-Aid brand logo for the years 1992, 1994, and 1995. These Barbies were offered exclusively to members of Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse, a type of club in which members collected points from Kool-Aid product labels and mailed them in exchange for free stuff that was also mailed to them. Pretty Kool, huh? A limited number of Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse dolls were sold in retail stores.

This first collector’s edition of Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse Barbie was made in China in 1992. She’s Mattel doll #10309. She features long, light blonde hair styled in a side braid, big aqua blue eyes with blue eyeshadow, and hot pink lipstick. A fresh, vibrant, youthful looking face for summer! This Barbie doll has bent arms, unlike other beach Barbies that generally have straight arms. Her knees cannot bend.

Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse’s first Barbie doll comes in an outfit that’s seriously eye-catching! She’s wearing a tie-front crop shirt in a variety of neon colors and a fun, 90s-inspired print. She also wears grape-colored knee-length Lycra pants with a peplum in the same fabric as the crop shirt. Underneath, she wears a grape two-piece swimsuit. She also comes with very cool accessories like a purple beach bag with the Kool-Aid logo, a neon green sun visor and frisbee, hot pink tennis shoes, purple earrings and ring, and a hot pink hairbrush. This first edition doll comes in a very pretty box with a very fun and colorful art of Barbie walking on the beach. As you can see, this is a very fun Barbie doll that I like a lot, especially for playing on the beach this summer!
