Dream Date Ken from 1982 was one of my first Ken dolls as a child and I’m happy to have him back in my collection! This handsome guy, made in Taiwan, is part of the Dream Date Barbie line, one of my favorite Barbie lines from the 80’s, which included Barbie, PJ, and Ken, all very elegantly dressed for their dream date. A time when Mattel dressed their dolls with class and fabulous style.
Dream Date Ken has the classic 80’s Ken doll face with his thick eyebrows, big smile, and dimples on his cheeks. He has deep blue eyes and black “hair”, which makes him look more elegant and sophisticated in his impeccable outfit for the night. Dream Date Ken is dressed in a luxurious tuxedo, which perfectly complements Dream Date Barbie’s outfit. His charming clothing consists of gray pants and a white long sleeve shirt with a black bow tie in one piece. He also brings a fuchsia sash, a black velvet jacket with buttons, and satin lapels with a fuchsia boutonnière, and black dress shoes. Dream date Ken looks like a distinguished gentleman!
