I want to share one of my most recent acquisitions; she is Deluxe Quick Curl Barbie from 1975, made in Taiwan. This very nice vintage Barbie belonged to another collector who took very good care of her, although the box is damaged, and she did not come with all the accessories. Nevertheless, I’m very happy to have her in my collection since the doll itself is in excellent condition for being from the 70’s. In fact, Deluxe Quick Curl Barbie is one of the most well-known Barbie dolls from the 70’s and was released by Mattel along with PJ, Cara, and Skipper dolls. Her precursor was Quick Curl Barbie released in 1972 with hair that curled instantly.

Deluxe Quick Curl Barbie has a TNT face mold and a fairly pale “skin” tone. She has blue-green eyes with light blue eyeliner and a slightly open mouth. Her light blonde hair is easy to style in curls thanks to the tinsel strands. You can create different hairstyles using the curler that comes with her, or by adding the long fall piece. Multiple hairstyles instantly for every occasion!

She is dressed in a simple long turquoise dress with a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves. A white knitted stole gives an elegant and feminine touch to her outfit, which she complements with a white beaded necklace and white high heels. Deluxe Quick Curl Barbie also includes brush, comb, curler, 2 ribbons, 2 bobby pins, and hairpiece with ribbon. She comes in a nice box with beautiful graphic art.
