This beautiful paper doll of the Number One Barbie is part of The Peck Aubry Collection from 1994. We can see a detailed replica of the 1959 Barbie that was 11 ½ inches tall and was intended to show off the “ideal body”. The Number One Barbie, dressed in a strapless one-piece swimsuit with black and white horizontal stripes, had long, elegantly sculpted legs, solid torso with petite waist, inverted V-shaped eyebrows, eyes lined in blue and black with white iris and black pupils, hoop earrings, bright red nails and lips, and black open toe heels. But the most characteristic of the 1959 Barbie is her signature hair style arranged in bangs and a ponytail and that you could find in both blonde and brunette. This paper doll comes in a beautiful hot pink packaging with designs alluding to the original first Barbie. The back of the packaging has written the brief history of Barbie Millicent Roberts and the changes she had during her early years.
