Superstar Christie is ready to strike a pose! This dazzling reproduction celebrates Superstar Christie, one of the most fabulous dolls from the Superstar era!

In 1977, while glitz and glam took over the world, a Superstar was born! Christie, Barbie’s best friend, made her debut as Superstar Christie, along with Superstar Barbie, marking the beginning of one of the most memorable eras in Barbie history. The Superstar Era of Barbie was immortalized by its fantastic fashion and hairstyles as well as by Barbie’s new face that the entire world fell in love with.

In 2021 Mattel released a Barbie Signature Black Label reproduction of the Superstar Christie doll, designed by Bill Greening. This reproduction, made in Indonesia, is quite faithful to the original. Personally, I’m not a fan of reproductions, but I must admit that they did a very good job with this one. I like it much more than the Superstar Barbie reproduction that Mattel released in 2022.

Superstar Christie is ready to hit the town! She has a brilliant glow from head to toe! Her long, brown hair with stunning copper highlights is pulled back to reveal beautiful honey-colored eyes and a gorgeous smile on a Superstar face. She is dressed in a radiant yellow evening gown with a glittering ruffle boa that makes her shine with glamour! Superstar Christie reproduction also wears sparkling “diamond” jewelry and matching yellow heels like the original version. She has a classic twisting waist, posed arms, and bendable legs. This reproduction comes in a very nice box with beautiful artwork similar to the original box back in 1977 and includes a doll stand and certificate of authenticity.
