Wet ‘n Wild Teresa makes the most of what’s left of summer and takes a deep dive into the fun! She is making a splash to beat the heat!
Wet ‘n Wild Teresa doll is very special to me for two reasons. First, she is my very first Teresa doll ever! Second, she has my favorite face sculpt: Steffie. I consider Teresa to be my favorite among all the dolls in the Wet ‘n Wild collection. Wet ‘n Wild Barbie line by Mattel includes, along with Teresa, Barbie, Kira, Christie, Skipper, Ken, and Steven; a super cool bunch of friends who have fun splashing and changing the color of their swimsuits in icy water.
Wet ‘n Wild Teresa, made in China in 1989, is Mattel’s doll #4136. Teresa, the beautiful Hispanic friend of Barbie, got Steffie face mold in the late 80’s to early 90’s, as we can also find in the All-Stars Teresa and All-American Teresa dolls. This feature gives her a special value because it is also the favorite face sculpt of many Barbie doll lovers. Wet ‘n Wild Teresa has very pretty brown eyes made up with green eye shadow. She uses fuchsia lipstick and blush, a tone that greatly flatters her slightly tanned “skin.” But if her face is stunning, her hair is spectacular! Wet ‘n Wild Teresa wears her thick, soft, extra-long brown hair down, styled with a side braid and bangs. Very good quality material that looks and feels like real hair!
Wet ‘n Wild Teresa wears a very nice one-piece swimsuit with a belly opening. The swimsuit in two colors, turquoise blue and yellow, has a knot tied in the bust area. The yellow part changes to light green when exposed to icy water, but I barely noticed the color difference. The color change from pink to purple was most evident to me in Barbie and Kira‘s swimsuits. However, it is still fun to give this beautiful Teresa a dip in the water! To complete her summer look, she brings blue sunglasses, 2 pieces of cool jewelry that she can also wear in her hair, and a hairbrush. There is no heat wave that can beat the Wet ‘n Wild wave!
