Skipper is enjoying her summer vacation at the beach. She loves playing with sand while soaking up the Malibu sun! This cute doll is another one with the peek-a-boo tan from Mattel’s Sun Lovin’ Malibu line!
This Sun Lovin’ Malibu Skipper is my first ever Skipper doll in my entire life! I had never had a Skipper doll! Never! The truth is that Barbie’s little sister had never caught my attention. I had always played with Barbie as a child, and now as an adult collector I wanted to give my collection a bit of variety, although most of my dolls are still Barbie. To be honest, I still don’t quite like Skipper dolls. The only Skipper face mold that I like and find pretty is this one, the same mold that was used for Great Shape Skipper, and California Dream Skipper. I think she looks so cute with those little cheeks! The others seem a bit creepy to me!
Sun Lovin’ Malibu Skipper made in Philippines in 1978 has pretty long blonde straight hair with bangs. She has aqua blue eyes and cute rosy cheeks. She really looks cute! Like the rest of the dolls in this collection, she has tan lines that show through her two-piece turquoise swimsuit with an “S” monogram on the bottom. She also comes with a beach bag that matches her swimsuit and “mirrored” sunglasses.
If you’re going to the beach this summer, remember to use sunscreen, and especially if you have small children, do not forget to protect their delicate skin. Enjoy your summer!
